Pet Sitting Policies

Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be confirmed in advance.

  • If you find yourself in a bind and need last-minute care, feel free to reach out to see if  there's availability. 
  • A 25% deposit may be required for overnight or constant care visits that last several hours.
  • Payment is accepted via Zelle, Cash, Apple Pay, Venmo and more to come.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the booking will receive a full refund of any prepaid amount.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days of the booking may forfeit the deposit. However, your deposit may be applied to a future visit.

  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability, but I will always do my best to make you and your pet a priority.

 

Meet & Greets

  • A meet & greet is ideal before first-time visits
  • Pets must be disclosed honestly, including behavior concerns, medical needs, and routines.
  • I reserve the right to decline bookings if a pet’s needs exceed what I can safely provide.

Photos & Updates

  • You will receive updates shortly after I arrive at your home and again as soon as I complete your pet’s visit.
  • For longer stays, you will also receive at least one midday photo and text update, if not more, throughout my stay.
  • While I strive to provide timely updates, please know that my priority is hands-on care for your pets.

Pet Health & Medical Care

  • Clients must disclose all medical conditions, medications, allergies, and behavioral issues.
  • All pets must be current on their rabies vaccination, unless a veterinarian specifies otherwise.
  • In the event of illness or injury, I will make reasonable efforts to contact you.
  • If I cannot reach you during a life-threatening emergency, I am authorized to seek veterinary care as needed. (This will be discussed with you prior to booking.)

Behavior & Safety

  • Aggressive behavior toward people or other animals must be disclosed.
  • No refunds will be issued if services are ended due to undisclosed behavior or safety concerns.

Holidays & Peak Dates

  • Major holidays and peak travel periods may have higher rates.

  • Holiday bookings often require earlier notice than usual due to high demand.

Schedule Changes & Late Returns

  • Please notify me as soon as possible if travel plans change.
  • Late returns may require additional visits and will be billed accordingly.

Weather & Emergencies

  • In severe weather or emergencies, visits may be adjusted for safety.
  • I will always prioritize your pet's care while using my best judgment in unsafe conditions.

Home Access & Keys

  • Clients are responsible for providing safe and reliable access to their home.

  • Keys, codes, or entry instructions must be provided before services begin.

Liability

  • While every effort is made to ensure safety, pet sitting involves inherent risks.
  • I am not liable for illness or damage caused by pets unless due to my own negligence.

Acceptance of Policies

  • Booking services indicates agreement with these policies.
